After geographical assessment of flood affected areas. UNFPA deployed four mobile service units with female health care providers at Sultan Colony, Boys Higher secondary school, Girls, and BHU 518. RHC Chowk Sarwar along with 3 mobile units are providing 24/7 maternal health services. They have conducting 141 safe deliveries, 7242 antenatal consultations and post partum care, 10 C-section referrals. These centers are functional under supervision of Female Medical Officer and EDO Health, Muzaffargarh.
Supported LHWs outreach camping of 24 vehicles with deployment of 200 LHWs and 20 LHSs by provision of POL and other support. They are giving milk to mothers and under 5 children and undertaking registration of pregnant women.
UNFPA Country Office sent Medicines, 500 Hygiene kits, and 200 newborn kits which were distributed among families in camps.
EDO Health was authorized to procure locally need based medicines and supplies and an amount of Rs. 700,000 allocated.
